Jet Airways enhances connectivity to SAARC and the Gulf
Oct 19, 2016: Jet Airways has enhanced connectivity between India and SAARC as well as Gulf. Effective October 30, 2016, as part of its new winter schedule, Jet Airways will introduce additional frequencies to Kathmandu from Mumbai and New Delhi respectively. At the same time, it will also significantly strengthen its connectivity to the Gulf from Kerala, with daily flights to Dubai and Doha from Thiruvananthapuram, complementing the recently announced daily flight between Kozhikode and Sharjah.
Aside from offering guests greater choice, convenience and flexibility, the additional flights to Kathmandu and the Gulf, will facilitate a speedier, more seamless transition onto Jet Airways’ extensive domestic network and onwards to other international destinations, further cementing its position as the carrier of choice for discerning guests.
Introduction of a second daily service between Mumbai-Kathmandu, will double its current capacity between the two cities. Similarly, capacity between Kathmandu and New Delhi will also be augmented with a new third daily service. These additions will help Jet Airways enhance its connectivity to the SAARC region including countries such as Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, with 140 weekly flights, half of them to Nepal.
The new Mumbai-Kathmandu service - flight 9W 250, will depart Mumbai at 0815hrs and arrive in Kathmandu at 1110hrs (Local Time). The return leg, flight 9W 249, will depart Kathmandu at 1210hrs (LT) and arrive in Mumbai at 1450hrs. providing convenient domestic connectivity.
Likewise, the new service to Kathmandu from New Delhi, flight 9W 282 will depart at 1040hrs and arrive in Kathmandu at 1230hrs (LT). The return leg, flight 9W 281, will depart Kathmandu at 1330hrs (LT) and arrive in New Delhi at 1505hrs. making it extremely comfortable for local guests as well as for those traveling onwards to other destinations.
Kerala’s capital, Thiruvananthapuram will also see a major boost in connectivity as Jet Airways introduces a new daily flight – 9W 210/209, to/from Dubai, and also upgrades the currently operated thrice a week frequency to Doha - 9W 594/593, into a daily service.
The new flight to Dubai - flight 9W 210 will depart from Thiruvananthapuram at 0800hrs. and arrive in Dubai at 1100hrs (LT). On its return leg, flight 9W 209, will depart from Dubai at 2359hrs (LT) and arrive in Mumbai at 0545hrs.
With these new additions, Jet Airways will operate 600+ weekly flights between India and 10 destinations in the Gulf, fortifying its position as the largest operator connecting India to this region. Both services will also be launched from October 30.

Jet Airways will deploy Boeing 737-800 Next Generation (NG) aircraft on these routes enabling guests onboard to enjoy its famed Indian hospitality, award-winning in-flight entertainment programmes and a carefully curated menu of delectable international and Indian dining options.
