Alitalia moves record 58T freight on B777-300ER from Delhi to Rome
October 23, 2020: Alitalia Cargo on Wednesday uplifted 57,616 kilograms of cargo from Delhi to Rome on a single flight, the highest ever tonnage for any airline to have achieved on a newly reconfigured B777-300ER.
October 23, 2020: Alitalia Cargo on October 9 uplifted 57,616 kilograms of cargo from Delhi to Rome on a single flight, the highest ever tonnage for any airline to have achieved on a newly reconfigured B777-300ER.
Air Logistics Group (ALG) is the General Sales & Services Agent (GSSA) for Alitalia Airlines in India. “The selection of an optimum mix of high-density cargo comprising of heavy auto parts & engineering goods together with pharmaceuticals, garments & spare parts- carefully ULD planning, ground handling & loading is the mantra behind this achievement,” said the release.
With this the airline has surpassed their own record of 54 tonnes on Delhi – Rome on October 2 and 53 tonnes from Mumbai to Rome on October 4.
Alitalia will now also fly directly into Milan Malpensa Airport ( DEL-MXP-JFK), effective Oct 23, thus giving a swift service for their customers in Delhi into Milan & the United States.
