June 14, 2019: Amazon India has launched its Amazon Flex programme, which gives associates the opportunity to deliver packages on behalf of Amazon and earn Rs 120 to 140 per hour.

The programme is accesible through an app, and will create thousands of opportunities for part-time jobs of delivering packages during one's spare time. Interested candidates should have a two-wheeler, can choose their own schedule, and deliver packages – all using the Amazon Flex app.

The company will conduct a comprehensive background verification process and provide hands-on training before a partner can begin delivering packages. All Amazon Flex participants are also covered under a Group Accident policy while making deliveries for Amazon.

Amazon India has rolled out the initiative in Bengaluru, Mumbai and Delhi and will expand to additional cities this year. Amazon Flex works in concert with the advanced logistics systems and technology that Amazon has been building.

“We are proud to create opportunities for tens of thousands of individuals to further their earning potential with a flexible work option to be their own boss, create their own schedule and take advantage of Amazon technology to deliver packages,” explained Akhil Saxena, vice president – Asia Customer Fulfilment, Amazon.

“While we continue to scale our existing delivery capabilities across the country, Amazon Flex will enable Amazon to continue growing our capacity to serve more customers and speed up deliveries," added Saxena.
