Drone startup Yali Aerospace gets investment from Zoho

Yali to introduce an era of delivering medical commodities to any destination in India in less than 20 minutes

 Zoho Corporation, a SaaS unicorn, announced an investment in Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu-based drone startup Yali Aerospace.

"We are happy to announce our investment in Yali Aerospace, a drone startup based in Thanjavur led by the husband and wife team of Dinesh Baluraj and Anugraha," Sridhar Vembu, CEO, Zoho posted on X. "They returned from the Netherlands to their hometown of Thanjavur to start this." Vembu did not share investment details.

Founded in 2022 by Dinesh Baluraj and Anugraha Ganeshan, Yali Aerospace specialises in providing drone solutions for medical, surveillance and logistics globally.

Yali will introduce an era of delivering medical commodities to any destination in India in less than 20 minutes through the Yali Network Bridge, the company says on its website.

Yali can transport seven kg of payload up to 150 km range at the speed of 125 km/h. The Yali Skybase features include battery swap, take-off and landing platform, smart MedBox swap and cloud video monitoring.

"We are thrilled to announce a significant investment in Yali Aerospace, propelling us towards groundbreaking advancements at the intersection of aerospace technology and healthcare," the company posted on LinkedIn. "This investment will empower us to further develop our innovative VTOL drones and autonomous docking stations, revolutionising the transportation of critical medical commodities worldwide.

"We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Sridhar Vembu sir and Zoho for their unwavering support and belief in our vision. Their partnership marks a pivotal moment in our journey, inspiring us to reach new heights and set new standards in healthcare logistics.
