DHL SmarTrucking aims to grow from 2100 drivers to 25,000 by 2028

December 20, 2019: DHL SmarTrucking is planning to have 20,000-25,000 drivers in India by 2028 from 2100 drivers currently managing its 745 trucks from 13 hubs in the country.

Launched in May 2018, DHL SmarTrucking is the business unit of DHL eCommerce, a division of Deutsche Post DHL (DPDHL) Group, which provides tech-enabled logistics solution in India using the Internet of Things (IoT) and data-driven insights.

The one and half-year-old business division of DHL claims to have end to end automation, 95 percent on-time delivery, up to 50 percent shorter transit times along with real-time visibility into consignments like pharma, food & beverage, automotive, electronics, FMCG and consumer durables.
