Organised by Indian Transport and Logistics News (ITLN), a STAT Media Group venture, the 8th edition of Auto SCM Summit 2024 is set to bring together industry leaders and key stakeholders to explore India’s rising influence in the global automotive supply chain. Scheduled for December 5, 2024, at the Sheraton Grand Pune, the event will focus on India’s growing stature as a global automotive manufacturing and exporting hub, alongside emerging trends in electric vehicles (EVs), generative AI, and sustainable supply-chain models.

India’s automotive industry is a powerhouse on the world stage, with FY23 marking the production of 25.9 million vehicles, positioning the country as the largest tractor producer, second-largest bus manufacturer, and third-largest heavy truck manufacturer globally. India also stands as a major exporter, shipping close to 4.8 million vehicles last year, including 3.6 million two-wheelers. This dual strength in manufacturing and exports highlights the country's robust automotive ecosystem.

Held in Pune, often regarded as India’s automotive manufacturing hub, the Auto SCM Summit 2024 will draw attention to key trends shaping the future of the industry. One of the focal points will be India’s expanding EV market, which is projected to reach US$ 7.09 billion by 2025, and present a US$ 206 billion opportunity by 2030. The summit will also cover major technological advancements in the sector, including the increasing adoption of EVs, the rise of generative AI, enhanced vehicle connectivity, and the shift towards collaborative supply-chain models. Additionally, the event will explore the impact of reshoring and nearshoring on global automotive supply chains.

The Auto SCM Summit has been a crucial platform since its inception in 2016, bringing together leaders across the automotive logistics value chain to discuss industry developments, innovations, and strategies. This year’s event will be no different, with a diverse range of discussions focusing on the evolving demands of the automotive industry.

As India continues to establish itself as a global manufacturing and exporting hub, the summit will serve as a key platform for stakeholders to network and share their insights. Delegates will have the opportunity to connect with decision-makers from automakers, suppliers, and logistics providers, positioning the event as a premier knowledge-sharing and networking opportunity for the industry.

A highlight of the summit will be the role of Frankfurt Airport, the presenting partner of the event since 2016. Frankfurt Airport plays a critical role in global automotive supply chains and continues to contribute to the event’s success.
