Oct 12, 2016: Kuehne + Nagel continues to support BMW Group’s complex parts supply chain by managing a new global distribution centre.
Inaugurated on October 11, 2016 in Wallersdorf, Germany, the distribution centre forms part of the BMW Group’s Central Distribution Centre (CDC).
Kuehne + Nagel has been working on spare parts logistics for the BMW Group for over ten years. In Wallersdorf, Kuehne + Nagel will be responsible for physically receiving and administering incoming goods, pre-packaging, administering packaging materials and empties and also for loading goods onto shuttles for shipping out to all field warehouses, external workshops and sites within the CDC network. Over 215,000 packaged spare parts will leave the distribution centre on average every day.
