Europa Air & Sea has opened office in Delhi (India), marking the company’s first step in the Indian subcontinent.

The team, headed by general manager Nathan Lynn currently consists of five including sales manager Sumit Pruthi.

“Europa Air & Sea is a part of Europa Worldwide Group, a UK-headquartered logistics provider with offices in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Dubai and has announced plans for its Shenzhen site, is recruiting for further team members in Delhi and has ambitions to triple in size before the end of 2023,” reads the release.

Angus Hind, director of Europa Air & Sea, comments: “Delhi is another strategic step in our growth plans. The country’s continued economic growth and increased investment in infrastructure has led to an increased demand for manufacturing in the region.

“Nathan has demonstrated, with the success of Dubai, that our approach works and with Sumit and the team alongside him, we are thrilled to be promoting our global forwarding solutions to this market.”

Europa Air & Sea now has a 100-strong team. As well as a growing global footprint over the past two years, the company has embedded at least one Air & Sea business development manager at every local site throughout the UK and Ireland. This has brought specialist air and sea freight expertise closer to customers.

Angus concludes: “There is growing demand for businesses everywhere to have high-quality forwarding options at a fair price, and air and sea freight is no exception. Therefore, having the expertise of a global logistics provider with operations running locally, we can provide the best service for our local customers.”

Europa Worldwide Group is an independent logistics operator with three divisions, Europa Road, Europa Air & Sea, and Europa Warehouse. Europa has invested £5 million in its product Europa Flow, providing a frictionless flow of goods between the EU and the UK post-Brexit. The group employs over 1,400 people with 29 international sites in the UK, the Republic of Ireland, Europe, Hong Kong, China and the UAE. The global operator recently reported a record turnover of £302m for the last 12 months, as of August 2022, and remains on track with its ambitious investment programme.
