Magenta Mobility launches warehousing hub in Bhiwandi

Magenta Mobility, an integrated electric mobility solutions provider, has inaugurated a new office and charging depot in Bhiwandi, deploying electric vehicles (EVs) using the hub-and-spoke model.

Project 302, named after the pincode for Bhiwandi - one of India’s largest warehousing hubs - underscores Magenta Mobility's vision to decarbonise logistics while expanding its services to existing and new customers across the e-commerce, FMCG, FCMD, and logistics sectors in the region, says an official release.

With an initial fleet of 500 EVs at the facility, comprising both three-wheelers and four-wheelers, the company is poised to meet the surging demand for sustainable transportation solutions. The company aims to hire around 200 local delivery executives to operate the vehicles, the release added. Additionally, a charging hub will be set up to facilitate the electrification of the fleet, transforming the office space into an EV hub and creating employment opportunities.

Magenta Mobility currently has 11 offices in 10 cities across India. The Bhiwandi office is the fourth location in Maharashtra, complementing its two offices in Mumbai and one in Pune, the release added.
