Western Carriers secures ₹1,089 crore logistics contract from Vedanta

Western Carriers (India) has secured a four-year ₹1,089-crore contract from Vedanta that covers the transportation of aluminium ingots, billets, wire rods, pig iron, and EXIM shipments for export.
The four-year contract until 2028 includes various multi-modal logistics solutions, including moving goods from Vedanta’s plants in Jharsuguda (Odisha) to key export ports, as well as major domestic hubs pan India.

Western Carriers has a pan-India presence, with over 50 branch offices and four zonal offices across 23 states. The company operates 16 warehouses across 12 states and manages over 55 major public rake handling points nationwide, enabling first-mile and last-mile connectivity even in remote regions. As of nine months ended FY25, Western Carriers reported ₹1,297 crores in revenue from operations, with a profit after tax (PAT) of ₹68 crore.
