Mahindra Logistics unveils 2 new 4-lakh-sqft warehouses in Hyderabad, Chennai

November 5, 2020: Mahindra Logistics has today announced the opening of two new 4 lakh sq ft multi-user warehouses at Patancheruvu in Hyderabad and Organadam in Chennai. Both these warehouses started their operations during the Dussera festival and have over 300 employees working in each facility.

November 5, 2020: Mahindra Logistics has today announced the opening of two new 4 lakh sq ft multi-user warehouses at Patancheruvu in Hyderabad and Oragadam in Chennai. Both these warehouses started their operations during the Dussera festival and have over 300 employees working in each facility.

India has a total of 340 million sq ft quality warehousing facility across the country, while Mahindra Logistics has a 5 percent market share with 16 million sq ft space. The asset-light company is also one of the biggest third-party logistics company in India.

Rampraveen Swaminathan, chief executive officer, Mahindra Logistics, said, “We are targeting to become the 10,000 crore company. E-commerce is the fastest-growing segment for us right now. In the long term, we expect the automobile to grow at 9 percent and contribute more. The current focus regions are Telangana and Tamil Nadu in the south, Maharashtra in the west, Punjab-Haryana-NCR belt, eastern UP and Bhubaneswar to Guwahati in East.”

He informed that the company is back to the level of its pre-Covid operations.

“Telangana is a critical hub for the region with many companies into electronic manufacturing, people with an entrepreneurial spirit, quality roads, integrated logistics policy and connectivity to international destinations. We already have more than a million sq ft warehousing space in and around Hyderabad and we are actively trying you expand in this region,” he added.
