Within five days it has got 2.5 lakh preorders according to Tesla CEO Elon Musk. The exterior shell of Cybertruck is built with 30X cold-rolled stainless-steel while the glass is polymer layered.
“Cybertruck is designed to have the utility of a truck and the performance of a sports car. The six-seater pickup comes with 1,600-kilogram payload capacity, 17” touchscreen with a user interface, enables acceleration from 0-60 mph in 2.9 seconds and up to 500 miles of range.
To a question whether the Cybertruck will have a solar-powered tonneau cover on it, Elon replied in twitter “Will be an option to add solar power that generates 15 miles per day, possibly more. Would love this to be self-powered. Adding fold-out solar wings would generate 30 to 40 miles per day. Avg miles per day in the US is 30”.
