GVK MIAL launches common user terminal for domestic cargo

July 07, 2016: To enhance efficiency and improve operations, GVK Mumbai International Airport (MIAL) launched India’s largest airport based common user terminal for domestic air cargo operations on 6th June, 2016.
In its attempt to provide the ‘best value’ services to cargo in most efficient and effective manner. The facility was inaugurated by Anil Kumar Gupta, chairman and managing director, Concor and Rajeev Jain, chief executive officer, MIAL.
The state of the art project named by GVK MIAL as “Santacruz Air Cargo Terminal” was awarded to “Concor Air - CAL” on BOT model through bidding process in the year 2013. Concor Air completed the project in 18 months and the facility was set for operations on 9th June, 2016.
Admeasuring an area of 65000 sqft and with an annual throughput capacity of 3,00,000 tonnes, the new world class facility provides direct access to the city-side and the airside and boasts of various cutting edge features.
