Dr Stéphane Graber to be new FIATA director general at its new HQ in Geneva
November 26, 2019: The International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations (FIATA) on Monday announced the appointment of Dr Stéphane Graber as its new director-general who will take the role in Geneva on January 01, 2020.
November 26, 2019: The International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations (FIATA) on Monday announced the appointment of Dr Stéphane Graber as its new director-general who will take the role on January 01, 2020 in its new headquarters in Geneva.
Earlier, in its general meeting on October 5, 2019, the freight forwarders’ association has decided to move its headquarters from Zurich to Geneva in 2020. Dr Stéphane Graber has been the secretary-general of Swiss Trading & Shipping Association (STSA) since its formation in 2014.
“Stéphane brings to FIATA a strong background in information technology, training and development and finance. As a previous secretary-general in a not for profit non-governmental body involved in commodity trading and shipping based in Geneva, he has that in-depth understanding of international logistics and the movement of goods across borders “said Basil Pietersen, President, FIATA.
The press release noted that the director-general will focus on the objective to align itself with governmental and non-governmental organizations linked to logistics and will increase its presence in the international trade environment.
