May 29, 2020: FarEye, the logistics SaaS platform for predictive visibility, has expanded its manpower with remote hiring by over 12% amidst the Covid-19 pandemic. The recruitment is fuelled by the surge in usage of FarEye’s platform for delivering essential goods amid the lockdown.
The company has maintained and increased its staff without any layoffs or deferment of job offers. Hiring has been made across departments including technology, support, and business. With this manpower expansion, FarEye’s strength crosses the mark of 400.
Introducing a new onboarding experience, FarEye launched the new virtual onboarding process. Under the new VoP, the company took steps like post-offer follow-ups, continuous engagement with the new joinees by sharing content about FarEye, and warm-up calls by the managers. FarEye also customized onboarding communication for the selected candidates.
To make new joinees feel connected with the organization, the high growth startup created special organization overview videos to share information about the culture at work along with a Buddy program wherein an employee is assigned as Buddy to the new joinee to help him with any query. To conduct the induction procedures more efficiently, FarEye extended the induction period to 2-3 weeks; further being monitored for regular feedback. Apart from this, various departments have been conducting regular online training for new employees to upgrade their skill sets. The company has built an online engaging, learning, and development tool to keep engagement high.
“With technology changing the dynamics of logistics space, we are presently focusing on hiring niche talent to further strengthen our offerings and cater to emerging business needs. We believe that, currently, there are a lot of people who are looking for bigger and better opportunities and we are glad to create new avenues for them as we continue to grow. With a strengthened team, we are gearing up to meet our objective of turning any crisis into opportunity and bringing positive business outcomes for companies associated with us." said Kushal Nahata, CEO & co-founder, FarEye.
Pankaj Kankar, COO, FarEye, commented, “We have been ensuring employee safety in these difficult times and keeping their well-being at the core of all decision-making. The virtual onboarding process for all new joinees is a by-product of this. During the ongoing lockdown period, it is important to maintain engagement and connect with the employees to keep their spirit high and avoid any hiccups. Therefore, the new module has been designed to engage and train our workforce virtually.”
