FTCCI opens business facilitation centre at Hyderabad GMR Air Cargo Complex

September 3, 2020: The Federation of Telangana Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FTCCI) opened a Business Facilitation Centre at GMR Air Cargo Terminal, Shamshabad of Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Hyderabad to provide business services, update on the happenings and disseminate the activities of FTCCI for entrepreneurs and exporters.

September 3, 2020: The Federation of Telangana Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FTCCI) opened a Business Facilitation Centre at GMR Air Cargo Terminal, Shamshabad of Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Hyderabad to provide business services, update on the happenings and disseminate the activities of FTCCI for entrepreneurs and exporters.

J.S. Chandrashekar, IRS, principal commissioner of customs, Hyderabad Customs Commissionerate, said, “It’s a great initiative from FTCCI to bring their services at the doorstep of importers and exporters. I must appreciate FTCCI for taking this step. We all must think out of the box and devise suitable ways to smoothen the business functioning. Apart from following the footsteps of Delhi, Mumbai & Chennai. Hyderabad needs to think out of the box and make the experience seamless for exporters so that more exports can take place from Hyderabad. We should think ahead of times which should help the business grow much faster.”

Ramakanth Inani, president, FTCCI, said, “After 103 years, this is the is first-ever 'Business Facilitation Centre' outside FTCCI Office, aimed to assist trade & industry by issuing Certificate of Origin & Export Document attestation, Visa Recommendation & Foreign Travel Reference services and place of shipment at the airport itself. The objective of the Centre is to update on the happenings and disseminate the activities of FTCCI. Covid-19 pandemic has created hurdles in the free movement of goods and people and the industries are facing many challenges and we believe that the FTCCI Business Facilitation Centre will help entrepreneurs/exporters in ease of doing business.”

Saurabh Kumar, CEO-GMR Hyderabad Air Cargo, said, “We are very happy to have The FTCCI Business Facilitation Centre as part of our integrated Air Cargo Ecosystem. We have created a concept of Cargo Village to bring-in all related air cargo service providers, authorities and trade in a single location for easy access and quick turn-around time. We are one of the few Cargo Terminals in the Country to have Regulators, Industry Bodies, Agents, Forwarders and Certification Agencies under the same roof.”

There are growth opportunities in the areas of drug formulations, biological, residual chemicals and allied products; bulk drugs and drug intermediates; organic chemicals; natural stones and product; gold and other precious metals. The centre at the airport premises provides for a hassle-free facility for exporters, improving ease of doing business further. It acts as a catalyst for increasing exports from the state in leaps and bounds, apart from earnings of precious foreign exchange,” said the release.
