October 30, 2019: AAI Cargo Logistics and Allied Services (AAICLAS) today announced the successful transportation of live animals including Giraffes, Impalas, Wildebeests and Oryxs from South Africa to Gujarat. The animals were transported in the Boeing 777 freighter carrier of Ethiopian Cargo to Ahmedabad Airport in the midnight of October 28 for the proposed Sardar Patel Zoological Park (SPZP) at Kevadiya, Gujarat.

SPZP is the proposed 1300 acre world-class zoological park near the Statue of Unity in the district of Narmada. It is in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s wish to develop Kevadiya as a major tourism hub along with the river rafting facilities inaugurated in August this year.
