December 10, 2018: The JM Baxi Group commissioned its first Temperature Controlled Warehouse (TCW) with a capacity of 8300 pallets in Sonipat, strategically located near the Delhi International Container Terminal (DICT). The TCW has 19 adjustable chambers which can be set at ambient, frozen and chilled temperatures.
BOXCOLD caters to a wide range of products including various types of fruits like kiwi, apple and citrus fruits; different types of creams, QSR products meant for restaurants and meat products.
The tactical location of the warehouse and the efficiency has made this facility a preferred choice for many customers in the NCR and North region. The warehouse has acquired a large client base which includes international giants such as Mondelez, Nandos and Taco Bell, and Indian companies like Vita butter, Dev Bhumi Agri, Top Fresh and International Agro.
Based in a proximity to DICT, BOXCOLD is rapidly turning into one of the NCR region’s top Inland Container Depots (ICD). A seamless connectivity to the daily rail services to the ports of Mundra, Pipavav and Nhava Sheva leads to a minimal waiting time for the consignment.
BOXCO also provides total logistics solutions for the fruit importers from various countries. The BOXCO team takes control of the cargo at the port of loading and arranges reefer ocean freight to Mundra, followed by rail transportation to DICT, customs clearance and storage at the warehouse. The fruit consignment is eventually transported to the Azadpur Fruit market, which is 40 kilometres from the warehouse.
BOXCOLD additionally provides container stuffing and destuffing services and is planning to offer bonded storage in the future.
