JNPT completes API integration with Port Community System (PCS 1x)

September 2, 2020: JM Baxi Group’s Portall today announced that Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT) completed its API integration with Port Community System (PCS 1x) with 17 API messages which cover all the operational requirements of the port and its stakeholders.

New Mangalore Port Trust (NMPT) is also close to going live with API very shortly.

“During the gruelling time of Covid-19, both the JNPT team and PCS 1x team kept their interactions up. Both teams connected over rigorous virtual testing sessions and spent many hours to ensure no stone is unturned on the path to full API,” said the release.

This enhancement will bring real-time experience for data availability and acknowledgements in case of errors while messaging transmissions. With this go-live, JNPT and PCS1x have ensured the future road map for API integration is set for other ports who are already testing with PCS 1x for API Integration.

Mumbai Port Trust (MbPT) in July completed its API integration with Port Community Systems (PCS 1x) and is now live with all operational messages on API.

JNPT registered a throughput of 344,316 TEUs in container handling in July 2020, which was 19 percent higher as compared to June 2020.
