Kerry Logistics expands cold chain business in China, to focus on niche products

May 21, 2019: Kerry Logistics Network Limited has established Kerry Cold Chain Solution Ltd to expand its food-related cold chain business in Mainland China.

A world-class sortation centre will be set up in Southern China, equipped with an automated sorting system and stringent parcel screening and security controls to ensure speedy parcel handling and full compliance.

May 21, 2019: Kerry Logistics Network Limited has established Kerry Cold Chain Solution Ltd to expand its food-related cold chain business in Mainland China. Kerry Cold Chain will use its own cold chain facilities and partner with local expertise to handle food items ranging from raw ingredients to dairy product additives.

Edwardo Erni, managing director - China and North Asia of Kerry Logistics, said, "The market for food-related cold chain logistics in Mainland China is immense with enormous growth potential. Kerry Cold Chain is a joint venture company formed with Shanghai Zhizhen Logistics Co Ltd in which Kerry Logistics holds the majority interest. Founded in 2008, Zhizhen Logistics commands a 90 percent market share for imported food essences in the Shanghai region.
