BonV Aero, a cutting-edge deep-tech company, is set to launch a new initiative aimed at improving logistics at Gujarat’s Girnar Hill. The company will deploy its heavy payload drones, capable of carrying up to 25 kg, to perform multiple sorties across the hill, addressing the challenges of transportation and waste management. The drones will assist temple authorities, vendors, and pilgrims in ensuring efficient supply chains and improved cleanliness in this challenging terrain.

Girnar Hill, which stands at 3,660 feet, is home to several prominent temples, including the Jain Temple Complex, Mata Rani Temple, and the Dargah of Saint Gorakhnath. The site attracts more than a million visitors annually. While the Girnar Ropeway has improved access to the hill, transporting goods and managing waste continues to be a complex task. At present, porters carry supplies and food manually up thousands of steps, which is not only physically demanding but also time-consuming. Similarly, waste disposal remains a challenge, with no structured system for collection and transportation.

BonV Aero’s new initiative aims to solve both issues by using its advanced drone technology. The company’s heavy payload drones will transport goods and remove waste from the hilltop, reducing the reliance on manual labour. The move will significantly improve efficiency in the supply chain and waste management systems at Girnar Hill, making it easier for pilgrims and temple authorities.

Abinash Sahoo, Co-Founder and CTO of BonV Aero, highlighted the importance of this technological solution, stating, “These heavy payload drones are designed for locations where conventional transport is not feasible. By integrating aerial logistics at Girnar, we aim to support temple authorities, vendors, and pilgrims, making supply chains more efficient and waste management more structured.”

The challenges faced at Girnar Hill are not isolated. Numerous remote and high-altitude locations across India, including Himalayan villages and disaster-affected areas, encounter similar logistical difficulties. The introduction of drones in such areas promises to provide a sustainable and adaptable solution, offering better access to essential goods and services, thanks to the self-flying technology of the drones.

“This initiative is part of our broader goal to address logistical issues in difficult-to-reach locations,” added Abinash. “By deploying these drones at Girnar, we are not only improving logistics but also supporting local communities and ensuring that they are better connected to essential resources.”

With this innovative approach, BonV Aero joins an increasing number of companies leveraging drone technology to enhance transportation and waste management in areas where traditional methods struggle to provide adequate solutions. The success of this project at Girnar Hill may set a precedent for other remote areas in India that face similar logistical challenges.
