DTDC Widens its Footprints in South Asia with the Latest Store Launch in Sri Lanka

DTDC Express Ltd. has extended its footprint in South Asia with the launch of its first store in Colombo, Sri Lanka. This move is part of the company’s ongoing strategy to enhance regional trade connectivity and boost supply chain efficiency across the growing markets of Sri Lanka. The new store is a significant step for DTDC, following its successful presence in India, the UAE, Australia, the US, Canada, Malaysia, and the UK.

DTDC has partnered with Parcel Lanka, a local logistics company, to serve as its authorized franchisee in Sri Lanka. The store offers a wide range of services, including international courier solutions, e-commerce logistics, MSME support, and bulk shipping. The launch marks the beginning of DTDC’s efforts to establish a state-of-the-art logistics infrastructure, integrating advanced technology like AI-powered tracking systems, automated sorting, and self-service kiosks.

Sri Lanka’s growing digital economy and strategic location have made it a crucial logistics hub for global trade. With online shopping and MSME exports on the rise, there is increasing demand for efficient logistics solutions in the region. By expanding its services to Sri Lanka, DTDC aims to tap into this demand while providing reliable and cost-effective solutions to businesses.

Mr. Subhasish Chakraborty, Founder and Managing Director of DTDC, highlighted the strategic importance of this expansion in a statement. He expressed confidence in Sri Lanka’s potential as a logistics hub and emphasized the company’s focus on enhancing trade efficiency through digital transformation and local partnerships.
