SolitAir, a Dubai-based air cargo carrier focused on middle-mile logistics, has named GAC Shipping (India) Private Limited as its official cargo sales agent (CSA) for India. The appointment is a strategic move aimed at strengthening SolitAir’s presence in one of the world’s most dynamic air freight markets.
GAC India, part of the globally established GAC Group, brings a wealth of expertise in shipping, logistics, and marine services, with a nationwide network spanning 28 offices. The company will spearhead sales and marketing efforts to enhance SolitAir’s market penetration in India, capitalising on its extensive industry experience and customer reach.
Hamdi Osman, SolitAir’s founder and CEO, highlighted the importance of this partnership, citing India’s rapidly growing trade environment and the increasing demand for air cargo solutions. “India’s cargo market is thriving, and this collaboration with GAC India positions us to better serve businesses requiring efficient and high-quality air freight solutions. With GAC’s expertise, we are confident in meeting the evolving needs of Indian exporters and logistics players.”
The partnership follows the recent Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) between India and the UAE, which is expected to boost trade beyond $100 billion by 2030. SolitAir’s expanding fleet, currently comprising two Boeing 737-800 freighters, will be reinforced by additional aircraft as the airline scales operations into India, Bangladesh, Africa, and the Middle East.
GAC India’s Managing Director, Ravi Ramachandran, welcomed the collaboration, stating, “We are excited to represent SolitAir in India and drive its growth in this promising market. Our team will work closely with SolitAir to develop customised sales strategies and ensure seamless market entry.”
SolitAir’s operations out of Dubai World Central (DWC) provide a critical logistics bridge between South Asia and the Middle East, supporting industries reliant on speed-to-market supply chains. The carrier’s focus on express cargo, e-commerce, pharmaceuticals, perishables, and high-value shipments makes it a crucial partner for Indian exporters aiming for rapid delivery across global trade lanes.
