TCI-Zepto expands in south India with TVS ILP Coimbatore deal

Transport Corporation of India (TCI) has expanded its operations in southern India by leasing 1 lakh sq. ft. of logistics space from TVS Industrial & Logistics Parks (TVS ILP) in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. This expansion strengthens Zepto’s quick commerce supply chain and enhances its reach in Tier 2 and 3 cities.This marks a continued partnership between TCI and TVS ILP, following an earlier 75,000 sq. ft. lease for Volvo Eicher at the same facility. Satisfied with the infrastructure solutions, TCI has extended its collaboration to support Zepto’s growing logistics requirements.

Strategic location and infrastructure
Coimbatore’s position as a key logistics hub, with access to major transport routes and a growing consumer base, makes it an ideal location for expansion. The newly leased facility is 29 km from the city center, 30 km from both the airport and railway station, and 18 km from NH 544, ensuring efficient goods movement.

The built-to-suit, Grade-A industrial park has been designed to meet operational requirements with features including customized docks, power enhancements, apron work, optimized pathways, ample parking, and fire safety systems. The modifications were completed within a month, enabling a swift transition for TCI and Zepto.

The facility integrates sustainability initiatives, including EDGE-certified infrastructure, rainwater harvesting, waste management systems, and Miyawaki plantations, aligning with modern environmental standards and enhancing operational efficiency.
