Lynne Embleton takes over as Chief Executive of IAG Cargo

April 5, 2017: Lynne Embleton, current British Airways Managing Director at Gatwick is the new Chief Executive of IAG Cargo with immediate effect. She will also join the IAG management committee, reporting directly into its Chief Executive Willie Walsh. Embleton will replace Drew Crawley, who becomes Chief Executive of Avios, which is the Group’s loyalty programme. Drew will remain a member of the IAG Management Committee, directly reporting into Walsh. Embleton has over 25 years of experience across the Group, heading up strategy at British Airways, before moving on to become British Airways Managing Director at Gatwick. Previously, she was on the IAG Cargo board as a non-executive director for over four years. Walsh, commented, “Lynne’s extensive experience across Group strategy as well as on the IAG Cargo board will be invaluable in the continued growth of our cargo business. She succeeds Drew following his appointment as Chief Executive of Avios. With Drew’s significant experience across the loyalty sector, he has the skill and drive to develop our Group-wide loyalty programme even further.”
