Maersk opens new Capability Center in Bangalore

November 27, 2017: Maersk Global Service Centres India has inaugurated its new Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Bangalore. Located at Bhartiya City, the facility is expected to employ over 200 professionals over the next 12 months, who will bring innovations in the form of engineering, big data and data sciences, artificial intelligence, and creative marketing capabilities to deliver customer insights and benefits.

November 27, 2017: Maersk Global Service Centres India has inaugurated its new Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Bangalore. Located at Bhartiya City, the facility is expected to employ over 200 professionals over the next 12 months, who will bring innovations in the form of engineering, big data and data sciences, artificial intelligence, and creative marketing capabilities to deliver customer insights and benefits.

“I am pleased to open this new Capability Center in Bangalore to support our global digital drive. India is already home to Maersk’s largest global service centre operations employing over 8,000 professionals handling service delivery and business relationships. This is a natural expansion, and we look forward to working with the best talent in digital, engineering and marketing,” said Soren Skou, CEO, AP Moller-Maersk in the inaugural ceremony.

Strategically located in India’s Silicon Valley, the centre will be a key enabler in Maersk’s digitalization roadmap by tapping into new technologies and solutions to significantly improve the customer experience. “The Bangalore centre will take us further in our journey to digital innovation, improved customer experience and competitive solutions for the markets we serve,” explained Jakob Stausholm, chief finance, strategy & transformation officer, Transport & Logistics Division.
