Mumbai CSC Cold Chain Solutions receives IATA CEIV Pharma certification
International Air Transport Association he International Air Transport Association has awarded CSC Pharma Excellence Centre in Mumbai with IATA Center of Excellence for Independent Validators (CEIV) Pharma Certification. It has become the first air cargo handler in India to receive this certification.
December 21, 2020: The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has awarded CSC Pharma Excellence Centre in Mumbai with IATA Center of Excellence for Independent Validators (CEIV) Pharma Certification. It has become the first air cargo handler in India to receive this certification.
The centre has been certified as global distribution practice (GDP) compliant by TUV SUD demonstrating the organisation’s commitment to quality in every aspect of their service, and to be a vital partner of the healthcare supply chain.

Tushar Jani, chairman of CSC Group, stated, “These are the timely accreditation received by Mumbai CSC Cold Chain Solution for the movement of life science products and especially in the need of the hour for the Covid-19 vaccine. Mumbai CSC Pharma Excellence Centre is already handling a considerable quantity of polio vaccines every month, which are being exported from India to various parts of the world. The vast knowledge and experience along with modern infrastructure will come very useful for supply chain of Covid-19 vaccine to the world by India. This achievement would not have come without collaborative support and partnership with Mumbai International Airport Limited (MIAL).”

Further, Mumbai CSC Cold Chain Solution received the prestigious CII SCALE Award 2020, consecutively in the fourth year, for the best practice and the best Infrastructure within the cold chain solution.

The facility features temperature-controlled storage areas for pharmaceuticals with different temperature zones, mainly +15 to +25 and +2 to +8 degrees celsius which are electronically monitored. To understand and pre-empt temperature fluctuations, alarm systems have been installed.
