Mumbai underlines Group Concorde’s two-decade-long tie-up with China Airlines Cargo

November 15, 2019: China Airlines Cargo announced Group Concorde as the general cargo sales agent for its new Mumbai freighter service starting on November 16, strengthening their 20 years of partnership in Delhi.

November 15, 2019: China Airlines Cargo announced Group Concorde as the general cargo sales agent for its new Mumbai freighter service starting on November 16, strengthening their 20 years of partnership in Delhi.

The cargo division of China Airlines has been present in Delhi for more than two decades now.

Pukhraj Singh Chug, chairman, Group Concorde said, "It’s a pleasure to continue our partnership with China Airlines in Mumbai too after Delhi. It's time we showcase its strength to customers in Mumbai. We are positive that the Mumbai market will be elated to have the services of CI to enhance the customer experience."

Prithviraj Singh Chug, director, Group Concorde, said “The pharma business is the airlines target business for us it’s important to connect the pharma agents and there shippers with the airline. CI being CEIV certified will have the edge in BOM market to carry the goods and safely deliver across Europe, Asia, Oceania & Americas.”

The event held in Mumbai was also attended by Daniel Niu, country general manager, and Bryan Tao, general manager of China Airlines and other officials in Mumbai.

The airline will operate four flights a week, two per week coming from Taipei to Mumbai and going forward to Amsterdam, and two per week coming from Amsterdam and going to Taipei.

The operations will focus on active and passive pharma. In April this year, the GVK-led Mumbai International Airport Limited (MIAL) became the first airport in India and third in Asia to achieve IATA CEIV certification. The Center of Excellence for Independent Validators in Pharmaceutical Logistics (CEIV Pharma) the certificate is industry recognition, supporting the air transport industry to comply with pharmaceutical manufacturers’ requirements.

For pharmaceuticals, China Airlines Cargo offers services for products requiring the strictest temperature control, products that need to be kept in a certain range of temperature, and products that need to be stored in temperature-controlled facilities or room temperature.
