September 10, 2019: Oman Air has unveiled its transformation plan for the improved performance of Oman's national carrier. As part of the plan, the carrier will focus on fleet harmonisation, organisational restructuring and increased digital transformation.

The carrier also called on employees to think about what can be improved and come forward with their suggestions.

Discussing the plan with airline employees on September 3, Abdulaziz Al Raisi, CEO, Oman Air, called them "thoughtful and practical", urging that challenges must be met.

“A transformation programme is not an easy task. All of us, we need to drive this programme," Al Raisi told employees, stressing on the critical role of every individual.

Al Raisi added that the plan also extended to Oman Air’s leaders who are committed to steer the airline to reach the planned goals by 2023.

“Our transformation plan requires major changes, which can be disruptive, but we work in an industry of constant disruption and we must be proactive. We have every reason to believe that all of our people will deliver the results we need,” said Al Raisi, who joined the company 35 years ago as an engineering trainee in the Engineering Division.
