Ecom Express’ Dipanjan Banerjee is new CCO of Blue Dart

Banerjee replaces Ketan Kulkarni, who was appointed by Allcargo Group as its chief growth officer in April 2024.

Blue Dart Express announced the appointment of Dipanjan Banerjee as chief commercial officer (CCO) and senior management personnel with effect from June 12, 2024, in a filing with BSE.

Banerjee replaces Ketan Kulkarni who was appointed by Allcargo Group as its chief growth officer in April 2024.

“Banerjee has around 15 years of experience in business development and growth of market share for express delivery and logistics company,” reads the filing.

His latest assignment was with Ecom Express as the chief business officer. He spent eight years in the e-commerce logistics company in different roles including vice president sales and general manager sales. He also spent six years, from 2009 to 2016, in FedEx Express with his latest role being national account manager & vertical lead (e-commerce & retail).

The filing also reads, “Banerjee is a specialist in the supply chain domain with exposure in the domestic & international express products, B2C & contract logistics. Banerjee is MBA in Marketing & Sales. In his previous stint, he has supported in developing & implementing strategic business plan, driving growth and improving overall performance.”

In a LinkedIn post announcing his exit from Ecom Express, Banerjee wrote, “As I reflect upon the last 8.5 years of my life I look back and see the most fulfilling period of my career so far. Every day spent in this journey has given me immense learnings as a professional and helped me build a strong intellectual capital, the ability to be grounded in a dynamic market environment, and on top of it all a much better understanding and acknowledgement of human effort, perseverance and grit being a part of a hyper-dynamic industry and through the tumultuous years of Covid and nuevo market realities.”
