Onmove – a high-speed, long-distance trucking platform – on Thursday announced the initiation of their new project entitled Samarth.

Under Project Samarth, a plethora of benefits will be offered to truck drivers and their families with a lifetime of welfare initiatives, The project will also focus on upgrading skills, healthcare and sanitation initiatives and driver training. It will also provide education for the drivers' children, vocational training for family members for a better life, among other such benefits.

On the occasion of the initiation of Project Samarth, Praveen Jain, co-founder of Onmove, said, "Truck drivers are some of the hardest-working people in our society. They are often the sole breadwinners in their families. They spend most of their life on the road, doing their best to elevate our country's businesses and provide customer satisfaction in a limited time. Onmove believes that love, care, and respect are reciprocal. As the name suggests, Samarth will capacitate the truck driver communities and their families."

Pervinder Singh Chawla, Onmove co-founder, said, "Samarth is a long-term vision to elevate the lives of those who play a significant role in running our country on wheels. Truck drivers and their services are often taken for granted. At Onmove, we are the drivers of the wellness bandwagon that will give a bouquet of benefits to these selfless individuals and their families."

Project Samarth has already embarked on its journey with specs distribution to drivers earlier this month. These programmes will not only be beneficial to drivers in the short term but will also cover them under its long-term umbrella scheme for overall progress. Samarth endeavours to stand true to its phrasal meaning – "to be able".

The education for children programme forms have also been distributed among the truck drivers and are still available for prospective claimants. This programme aims to reward scholarships to students who have scored at least 60% in their last academic year and are currently in their senior secondary phase, i.e., in Class 11 or 12. Even students who will be applying for graduation and postgraduation courses are eligible to reap the benefits of the scholarship.

As a trucking platform, Onmove is capacitated through technology to provide quality service to time-sensitive cargo for sectors such as e-commerce, courier, 3PL, and industrial segments like pharma, consumer durables, auto, beverages, retail, among many others.

Founded in 2015, Onmove which is a brand of Zast Logisolutions, started with the objective to make trucking efficient through tech-led digital processes. Onmove has built an integrated digital platform that creates efficiencies and delivers a mutually advantageous growth cycle to all stakeholders i.e., customers, fleet owners, and drivers. Currently, Onmove has a pan-India presence and SAARC operations serving over 50 customers across segments through a network of over 1,000 aggregated fleets dedicatedly running on their platform.
