October 18, 2019: K T Rama Rao, minister of IT & Industries, Telangana inaugurated ‘HMDA ANCON Logistics Park’ at Mangalapally situated along the Outer Ring Road (ORR) of Hyderabad on October 11, 2019. While the under-construction logistics park at Bata Singaram will be launched in few months, eight new will be coming up all along the 158 km eight-lane ORR expressway that encircles Hyderabad.

Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority and the US-based infrastructure development company ANCON Construction jointly build the first-ever logistics park in the state under a Public-Private Partnership. The minister during his inaugural speech stressed upon the state government’s priority for industrialisation and logistics as one of the 14 areas under its industrial policy.


The Mangalapally Logistics Park, spread across 22 acres, comes with a Grade A 1,20,000 square feet warehouse with multiple docking yards, parking space for 250 trucks, co-located workspace, boundaries with 24/7 surveillance, fire protection and power back-ups for freight handling and storage. The facility includes a Dormitory for truck drivers with a restaurant and a clinic. There is an automobile repair centre, weighbridge, sewage treatment plant and a fuel station to support the operations. The park with 3000 to 4000 tonnes turnaround capacity will be mostly used to pharmaceuticals, e-commerce, electronics and household appliances.
