VOC Port Trust gets new chairman

September 2, 2017: I Jeyakumar has assumed additional charge as chairman VO Chidambaranar Port Trust, Tuticorin. Jeyakumar is the chairman of Mormugao Port Trust from September 2015.

Prior to joining Mormugao Port Trust as chairman, he has served as the deputy chairman, Chennai Port Trust and Kolkata Port Trust. He has also held additional charge of chairman-cum-managing director of Central Inland Water Transport Corporation of India Ltd., and Hooghly Dock & Port Engineers Ltd. An IRTS Officer of 1997 batch, Jeyakumar held several positions in Southern Railway. He was also the director in Ministry of Railways, Government of India, New Delhi from 2009 to 2012.
