Telangana's Minister of Industries and Commerce Duddilla Sridhar Babu on Thursday (Sept 19, 2024) inaugurated the new Hyderabad facility of the temperature-controlled containers and solutions provider CSafe.

The 15,000 sq ft distribution and operations warehouse is the sixth facility of CSafe in India, with production facilities situated in Mumbai and Pune and the new focus on Ahmedabad and Bangalore.

“Cold chain capacity and cold storage facilities are important for Telangana. I appreciate CSafe's decision to set up a facility in Hyderabad but have also discussed expanding it into a production facility,” said the Minister.

The CSafe facility inauguration was on the sidelines of the Cold Chain Unbroken conference held in Hyderabad on the 19th and 20th of September 2024.

CSafe offers thermal shipping solutions for pharmaceutical cold chain shipping needs around the world. The end-to-end portfolio includes active and passive bulk air cargo, parcel, cell and gene and specialty last-mile.

Situated within 10 kilometres of Hyderabad International Airport, the warehouse facility will be completely operated by the CSafe in-house team and plans to serve the customers in Hyderabad, India as well as the Asia Pacific Region.

“The facility will primarily serve the passive container and thermal blankets needs of our customers in Hyderabad where the business has become substantial and customers have been demanding a dedicated facility for a long time,” according to Dharmesh Chauhan, Vice President of Global Sales - Passive Solutions, CSafe.

Tom Weir, Chief Operating Officer, CSafe, pointed out they have plans to expand the new Hyderabad facility and bring in production and active container repairing capabilities. CSafe already has an airside facility at Hyderabad International Airport to handle the active containers.
