Chinese cargo carrier SF Airlines has launched its service to Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru. The first arrival into Bengaluru was marked at BLR on March 6, 2025.
The airline has launched a weekly service using its Boeing 767-300 freighter, operating every Thursday between China’s Ezhou Huahu International Airport and Kempegowda International Airport.
The airline has teamed up with Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) for ground and cargo handling.
In its LinkedIn post, WFS mentioned: “We are delighted to welcome SF Airlines to Bengaluru! This new collaboration extends our global partnership into the Indian market, marking a significant milestone in enhancing global connectivity. By leveraging our unmatched network and best-in-class cargo handling services, we are proud to support the establishment of a new direct trade lane between China and India.”
According to Xinhua, China’s official state news agency, the connectivity between Ezhou and Bengaluru will provide an annual air cargo transport capacity of more than 5,000 tonnes, the carrier said.
In addition to Bengaluru, the airline also operates flights to other Indian cities, including Delhi, Mumbai, and Chennai. The airline operates flights from Ezhou to Delhi and Chennai, primarily using the Boeing 767-300F, while it flies between Nanning and Mumbai using the Boeing 737F, according to data from Flightradar24.
SF Airlines has a total fleet of 88 aircraft, including Boeing 737Fs, 747Fs, 757s, and 767Fs, according to data from Planespotters.net.
SF Airlines has also recently launched a new air cargo route between Urumqi, China, and Islamabad, Pakistan. The airline will operate this route twice a week. In addition, it also flies to two other Pakistani cities, Lahore and Karachi.
WFS serves over 220 locations worldwide. In Bengaluru, WFS oversees the development, operation, management, and maintenance of the international cargo terminal and exclusively operates its dedicated cold chain facility.
