IndiGo CarGo, the cargo division of IndiGo, launched a new, three times weekly freighter service between Kolkata in India and Ezhou in China’s Hubei Province.

"A great pleasure to officiate at the opening of IndiGo CarGo’s latest phase of its international freighter strategy," Mark Sutch, Chief Commercial Officer, Cargo, IndiGo writes in his LinkedIn post.

"Ezhou is a new logistics focused airport with a large express carrier as base carrier - think the Memphis of China! For our customers, the airport’s central China location offers very extensive reach via road feed service to multiple China metros."

IndiGo CarGo announced the signing of an extensive interline agreement with Air France KLM Martinair Cargo (AFKLMP) connecting their networks in July 2024.

AFKLMP and IndiGo CarGo officials also discussed steps to strengthen their collaboration and to explore ways in which they can extend their cooperation in the coming years.

IndiGo reported an 18 percent increase in total income at Rs 20,250 crore for the first quarter of financial year 2024-25 and a net profit of Rs 2,730 crore, down 12 percent.
