SpiceJet adds Kishangarh to its network under UDAN

September 5, 2018: SpiceJet has launched its operations for the much awaited un-served market of Kishangarh, Rajasthan effective 8th October 2018.
The airline will operate a daily direct flight on Delhi-Kishangarh-Delhi sector. The marble city of Kishangarh marks SpiceJet’s eighth destination under the regional connectivity scheme. The airline was awarded the route under UDAN II.
SpiceJet chief strategy officer G P Gupta handed over the first ticket to Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, thereby marking the formal announcement of the launch of the service.
Ajay Singh, CMD, SpiceJet said, “I am delighted to announce the launch of the much awaited flight service from Kishangarh to Delhi. The holy city of Ajmer is one of the most important pilgrimage centres in India and we are confident that direct air connectivity will not just benefit pilgrims but boost the overall tourism industry of the state.”
“I would like to congratulate and thank SpiceJet for connecting Kishangarh to Delhi and further to the rest of India and abroad. Kishangarh is the latest addition to the list of airports in Rajasthan and we are very confident that there will be a huge demand on this route. This is the second sector in Rajasthan to be connected under UDAN by SpiceJet after Jaipur-Jaisalmer-Jaipur,” said Raje.
SpiceJet will be deploying its Bombardier Q-400 aircraft on the route.
With the addition of the Delhi-Kishangarh-Delhi flight, SpiceJet will operate 17 flights under UDAN on the routes of --- Mumbai-Porbandar, Mumbai-Kandla-Mumbai, Hyderabad-Puducherry-Hyderabad, Jaipur-Jaisalmer-Jaipur, Delhi-Adampur-Delhi, Chennai-Hubli-Chennai, Hyderabad-Hubli-Hyderabad and Delhi-Kanpur-Delhi.
