SpiceJet airlifts 2,900 oxygen concentrators from Hong Kong to Delhi
May 7, 2021: SpiceXpress today airlifted 2900 oxygen concentrators from Hong Kong to New Delhi. The airline used its A340 wide-body aircraft to airlift the concentrators from Hong Kong which arrived in Delhi early morning today.

The airline has airlifted more than 13,950 oxygen concentrators from the USA, Hong Kong, Singapore and China so far. These oxygen concentrators have been ordered by SpiceHealth and other organizations.
Cathay Pacific Cargo announced that it delivered more than 100 tonnes of humanitarian and medical supplies to India.
“In the past few weeks Cathay Pacific Cargo has been operating freighters and cargo-only passenger flights, delivering to date more than 100 tonnes of much-needed humanitarian and medical supplies to some of India’s major centres,” a release reads.
“These include shipments of specialised oxygen generators, oxygen concentrators and ventilators to Delhi, Mumbai and Hyderabad. In addition, there has been a sharp increase in volumes for shipments of oxygen, surgical masks, sanitiser, personal protective equipment, pharmaceuticals and vaccines over the past few weeks,” it said.
Meanwhile, UNICEF has sent additional critical lifesaving supplies to India, including 2 million face shields and 200,000 surgical masks.
“Thanks to end-to-end logistics support from DP World, the equipment was dispatched from UNICEF’s warehouse in Dubai to New Delhi to help India battle a deadly wave of Covid-19. It is part of the global partnership between DP World and UNICEF which offers worldwide access to logistical services, including ports, rail, trucking and warehousing, free of charge,” reads the UNICEF release.
