SpiceJet operates two freighters with 25T medical goods to Cambodia
May 8, 2020: SpiceJet has added Cambodia to its international cargo network by operating two freighter flights carrying 25 tonnes of critical medical supplies from Mumbai to Phnom Penh on May 7.
May 8, 2020: SpiceJet has added Cambodia to its international cargo network by operating two freighter flights carrying 25 tonnes of critical medical supplies from Mumbai to Phnom Penh on May 7.
SpiceJet deployed its Boeing 737 freighter aircraft for the assignments and both flights departed for Cambodia from Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport.
Ajay Singh, chairman & managing director, SpiceJet, said, “We are happy to announce the commencement of our cargo operations to Cambodia. We operated two freighter flights carrying around 25 tons of medical supplies to Phnom Penh today. SpiceJet remains firmly committed and is proud to be part of this global war against Covid-19.”

Till date, SpiceJet has transported close to 6000 tons of cargo on more than 825 flights since the nation-wide lockdown began. Of the 825 flights operated, 294 were international cargo flights.
