Sharad Kumar Saraf is newly elected president of FIEO

June 28, 2019: Technocraft Industries (India) Ltd, founder and chairman, Sharad Kumar Saraf has been elected as the Federation of Indian Export Organisations' (FIEO) new president.

Saraf has served twice as FIEO vice-president and four times as regional chairman (WR). During his earlier stint, FIEO established Indian Exporters Grievance Forum for addressing exporters' grievances through legal channels. Besides, he also played a pivotal role in obtaining path-breaking judgements in cases of 80 HHC, Service Tax, Target Plus Scheme, Incremental Export Incentivisation Scheme (IEIS), etc.

Both alumni and member of governing board of IIT Bombay, Saraf is a member of five different Export Promotion Councils, having experience in multiple business segments.

With an expertise and experience of well over four decades in foreign trade, Saraf is also member, managing committee of Texprocil, Cotton Associations of India and Confederation of Indian Textile Industry.

During his tenure, FIEO also started innovative marketing initiatives by establishing distribution centres in several countries, helped in formulation of various export promotion policies on EOU, SEZ, advance licences and other schemes.
